The Conquest of Constantinople has NOT happened as yet

Four proofs from Hadith literature

We’ve all been sold the story that the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet fulfilled the prophecy of the Conquest of Constantinople when he took over the city in 1453.

There are multiple things that prove this interpretation wrong:

It will happen after the Malhama and before Dajjal

Proof 1. Numerous Hadith prove how the Conquest of Constantinople (Original name of Istanbul) is an End Times phenomenon. It will happen only after the Malhama (Great War). The Hadith describe the Malhama as being a war in which 99 out of 100 people will die. (Muslim 6927) This cannot happen in a conventional war. This is a war in which weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) will be used (thermonuclear, bio and space weapons). Also the Malhama has been described as when the “birds will fall down from the sky”. (Muslim 6927) Again this is not something that can happen in conventional wars. This phenomena can only take place when the atmosphere is saturated with so much radiation that birds are unable to navigate their way using the earths magnetic field. Therefore the Malhama is the Nuclear world war.

Has Malhama happened as yet? No. Therefore the Conquest of Constantinople is due.

Sorry Sultan Mehmed !

Here are the hadith that prove the Conquest of Constantinople is an End Times event that takes place after the Malhama and before the Dajjal:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The flourishing state of Jerusalem will be when Yathrib is in ruins, the ruined state of Yathrib will be when the great war comes, the outbreak of the great war will be at the conquest of Constantinople and the conquest of Constantinople when the Dajjal (Antichrist) comes forth. He (the Prophet) struck his thigh or his shoulder with his hand and said: This is as true as you are here or as you are sitting (meaning Mu'adh ibn Jabal). (Abu Dawud 4294)

‘They [the Muslims] will then fight and a third of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah’s eye, would be killed, and the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople’ [Sahih Muslim]

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The time between the great war and the conquest of the city (Constantinople) will be six years, and the Dajjal (Antichrist) will come forth in the seventh. (Abu Dawud 4296)

No 'two' Conquests

Proof 2. Then some people push the argument that there are “two conquests”. There is NO hadith that proves that there would be two conquests. The Prophet (saw) gave glad tidings about one definitive and conclusive conquest that would never be followed or replaced or undermined by any unislamic system afterwards.

The Prophet ﷺ criticized the Ottoman Empire (along with the other empires)

Proof 3. The Ottoman Empire like all other empires was expansionist and unislamic in most of its actions. Firstly, there is no place for autocratic and monarchical systems in Islam. The only political system accepted in Islam is a Khilafa State. The Ottoman Empire was a monarchy. Most importantly the Prophet (saw) in a Hadith clearly criticized Muslim Empires that would come after his time and called their rule “ biting oppresion.” Read the hadith:

‘There will be Prophethood for as long as Allah wills it to be, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be Khilafah on the Prophetic method and it will be for as long as Allah wills, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be biting rule (ملكًا عاضًا) for as long as Allah Wills, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be oppressive rule (ملكًا جبرية) for as long as Allah wills, then he will remove it when He wills, and then there will be Khilafah upon the Prophetic method.’ Then he ﷺ was silent.” (Musnad Ahmed 18430)

All Muslim empires (Ummayad, Abbasid, Mamluk, Ottoman, Mughal) had expansionist goals and fought among each other for territorial gains, killing and imprisoning people unjustly. It is well know how the Ottoman sultans had a custom of getting their brothers killed in order to safeguard the throne for themselves. Though, some were righteous (like Abdulhamud II) but still it doesn’t make the monarchical system Islamic.
If the Prophet (saw) clearly criticizes Islamic empires why do you think he (saw) would praise one of these imperialist monarchs for achieving something that anyways is an event that would take place after the Malhama?

Can a Conquest be followed by slavery?

Proof 4. Lastly, When a Prophet talks about a city being opened to Islam, it means that this particular city would never bow down to shirk and Taghoot after its opening. It would become a bastion of Imaan and Haqq till the End of Time. You cannot have a Prophet prophesying about the conquest of a city and within some time it becomes a capital of shirk and taghoot. Constantinople in the time of Murad II was the capital of Freemason activity as he supported the construction of a Grand Lodge in the city. He himself was a Free Mason. Within few years the city was swept by the nationalist and secular party of Ataturk that oppressed religious Muslims and suppressed Islamic systems. Subsequently it joined NATO and till now it is a vassal state of the US.
Turkey supported ISIS terrorists in Syria on the orders of US. To add insult to injury, Erdogan signed deals with Israel in March this year. Certainly, a prophesied Conquest of Constantinople cannot be followed by slavery to the enemies of Allah.

When will the Conquest of Constantinople take place then?

Now the question is: When will the Conquest of Constantinople take place then?

The real conquest of Constantinople will happen when after the Nuclear war, the growing sentiment against NATO will sweep across the country and wipe out all vestiges of western influence and domination. For the first time in its history, Constantinople will then welcome and be ruled by a glorious Muslim leader who the Prophet (saw) described in these words- ‘Verily you shall conquer Constantinople. What a wonderful leader will her leader be, and what a wonderful army will that army be!’ [Musnad Ahmad, Al Hakim, al Jami’ al Saghir]

May Allah bless and elevate Shaykh Imran Hosein for explaining this subject to us. We were in great ignorance about it before.
