What you've been looking for, all along

I’m going to teach you a word in Arabic, the language of the Quran. You probably already know this word.

Salaam.

We use it in our greetings, we use it in our prayers.

Now, normally, salaam is translated in English as peace.

But, in English, peace just means the end of conflict and chaos, or being free of disturbance. Salaam means much, much more than that.

Salaam means to be made whole and unified harmoniously to the core of your being so that, no matter what happens, every fibre of you is thoroughly infused with unshakeable, unmistakable tranquility.

What we are all looking for, what we’re really seeking, is true salaam. Money will not get you salaam. Happiness will not get you salaam. Freedom will not get you salaam.

You can only find it in one place. Its Source.

That is with God and God only, the provider, the source of salaam. Seek Him and His bounties first, and whether He gives you the other things or not, really won’t matter anymore.

Serenity lies in sincerity.

Go and seek the source sincerely, and submit your soul, solely to achieve your salaam.
